Cultivating a space where all can thrive
Songyard Farms is a family run homestead farm growing flowers, teas, culinary herbs and seasonal fruits and vegetables. We integrate native plants throughout our fields and practice sustainability and permaculture principles to the best of our abilities. We are a first generation farm and love having our friends and neighbors learn alongside us! From our homestead to yours, we are happy to provide farm fresh eggs, fresh baked breads, goat milk soap, beeswax candles, salves, lotions and more!
Our mission is to create a care farm for the community to enjoy, and one that is designed to welcome and support children, teens and young adults of all abilities.
We are open to the public for visits and tours. Additionally, we offer opportunities for children and teens of all abilities to participate in clubs, camps, volunteer activities and vocational trainings!
In addition to all that we grow, at Songyard Farms we care for dairy goats, pigs, rabbits, horses, chickens and ducks. Our animals have important jobs on our farm and also bring us and our visitors so much joy! From composting, brush control, and pest management to facilitating friendships and bringing out smiles, our animals have busy days!
Many of our animals are rescues as well as heritage breeds. Heritage breed animals are similar to native plants-they compliment our local ecosystem and are made for this climate! Minus our rooster, Fred, our animals are all socialized to interact with our guests and are looking forward to becoming therapy animals!
We welcome guests during our open hours! Explore our gardens, walk our wildflower labyrinth, meet the animals, visit our storybook trail, shop our farm stand and soak up nature! Learn about our sustainability projects (through our successes and failures!) as we challenge ourselves to stay off grid, respect and provide for native pollinators and animals, and use close looped systems to run our farm. Our baked goods, candles, soaps and more can be purchased on our website for pick up in the farm stand! Bakery items can be made to order. We also offer gluten free options! Soaps can be bulk ordered as well for gifts by creating custom labels or designs. All proceeds support our mission to continue cultivating a space where all plants, animals and people can thrive!
